Community World Service Asia (formerly Church World Service- Pakistan/Afghanistan) is pleased to announce a 3-Day residential training on “Human Resource Management” scheduled to take place in Islamabad on December 14-16, 2015.

Overview– The most important – and at times the most neglected assets of an organization are its employees. An effective workforce is critical for the survival of all types of organizations, including development organizations. Proper execution of key functions of human resource management ensure that organizations are able to achieve their desired goals.

Recent experiences in Pakistan have highlighted the pivotal need for strong Human Resource (HR) capacities in the humanitarian sector. Recognizing the need for positioning and elevating the role of HR as an integral part of development organizations, Community World Service Asia is offering an intensive workshop on human resource management. The training will be followed by an optional, free of cost technical support pack-age.

Who is this training for? – This 3-day intensive intermediate level training course is suitable for development sector professionals with prior experience of working in Human Resources in development organizations. Participants will be expected to have fundamental level knowledge of HR.

The resource person – Mr. Waqar Haider Awan has extensive experience of working with prestigious national and international organizations. He has been working for more than fifteen years in the field of Human Rights and HR Development. Mr. Awan’s experience encompasses a range of areas in the designing of Human Resource related trainings/manual, developmental policies and their implementation. During all these years he has been engaged in different projects funded by multilateral and bilateral donors including ILO, UNDP, USAID and EU. While working at RSPN, he had close interaction with Government functionaries such as Ministry of Law, Justice & Human Rights and Planning &Development. Working for development and humanitarian sector he has exposure that the sector needs attention as it is rich with human capital still unrecognized and underutilized and since ever he has given his best to elevate the human capacities through training and counseling.

Please note that the deadline for receiving applications is 10 December 2015. If the applicant meets our selection criteria, he/she will be informed via a confirmation email at the earliest.

The participants have to contribute PKR 15,000/- (Fifteen Thousand Only) which would include costs for accommodation (with breakfast), training materials, buffet lunch and tea. In case accommodation is not availed, the fee is PKR 7000/- (Seven Thousand Rupees Only). The amount does NOT include travel cost of the participants to and from the venue. Please note that these figures are net payable to Community World Service Asia. Participating organizations will be responsible for including their respective withholding tax (WHT) along with the fee

If you submit your application and fee by December 03, 2015, you will get a 15% discount (meaning the fee will be PKR 12,750/- only).
